Gerard Way once said, “Life is very, very short, and you can choose to live it how you want. You can choose to dumb yourself down and not express yourself just so you can fit in, just so people won’t dislike you. Or, you can [just] live.” Naturally, the implication is that to live, and to live intelligently, we must express ourselves—we must express the important things, the necessary things, the things which will make a difference in someone’s life. While that may not be exactly what Mr. Way meant, his sentiment helped me realize how bored I am of living “dumbed down”.

I’ve decided to live more intelligently and purposefully by expressing things I think need to be said. Welcome to my blog, where I hope to express something that may make a difference to someone!
